Missing, Unavailable or Not-Tunable Channels

Troubleshooting TV issues is easier than you think. Our TV Troubleshooting Tool can help you resolve many common issues and problems, including: 

  1. Missing channels to which you should have access – Certain channels that are supposed to be part of your regular lineup aren’t available.
  2. Unviewable channels – Channels that can be received may be affected by interference, caused by everything from weather conditions to jammed communications signals, resulting in sound and picture problems.
  3. Not-tunable channels – Channels that appear in your lineup to which you can’t tune directly are likely caused by connection problems. 

Other Factors to Consider

  • If Parental Controls are turned on, you may not see restricted channels or be able to rent On Demand material.
  • Networks are sometimes moved between TV packages, or are part of add-on packages, such as Sports Pack.
  • If you’ve added channels to your package, it can take up to 24-72 hours for changes to take effect.
  • If you’ve upgraded your TV package and can’t access new channels, you may have an open balance or service order on your account.
  • You may have a connection problem. Check all equipment for loose or damaged cables. 
  • Networks are sometimes retired, renamed or move to different channel numbers. Check your channel lineup for the latest info and search for channels by name or filter by package. If you don’t remember which TV package you have, it’s noted on your bill. 

To view the channel lineup in your area, visit View Your Channel Lineup. Enter your address and select “View Channel Lineup.” Here, you can search for channels by name or filter by package. If you don’t remember which TV package you have, it’s noted on your bill. 

If you’re still missing channels, try rebooting your tv receiver. Unplug the receiver and wait at least 60 seconds before plugging it back in. You can also reset your receiver through your online account, or using the App.
